Born to a family of educators- everyone assumed I would follow in the footsteps of all our teachers, librarians, and superintendents. These assumptions turned to guarantees as they watched me begin volunteering in various nurseries, summer camps, church groups, coaching positions, and giving lessons in music, tennis, and swim.
My heart for children steadily grew as I watched exceptional, gifted, and academically delayed students' needs be neglected while enrolled in my local public schools from pre-k through freshman year. I transferred to a private high school my sophomore year and began working to bridge the gap in my own education in hopes of becoming a change in this system.
This passion led me to Mississippi College to join its well-known education program. I was blessed to learn from some of the best professors while getting hands-on experience in various educational settings. After taking my first job at Greenbrook Elementary, my dreams became reality as I fall deeper in love with my job every day!
